Does Technology scare anyone else?

Apparently apple has an "app" or application which lets you locate a person exact position. A woman definitely had to be the inventor of something like this. No more "oh baby I'm chilling with the homies" She can pin point you to your ex shorties house or the local strip joint. I love the innovations and how easier technology can make your life, but are we being spoon fed too much? Are we becoming a nation of lazy, know it alls.

Look at every gadget you own and think how far each of those gadgets have changed the way in which we live. Right now I'm looking at my macbook, cellphone, television and cablebox. Each of these have come a long way, but honestly how much more can these devices change? It's scares me like what happens next from here are we soon to be ruled by techinal geeks and small robots.

I like many kids used to imagine what the "future" would be like, flying cars, silver space boots, personal lucilles for everyone, almost like a real life jetson's episode. Honestly I'm scared of what the technological advances have in store for us. It's sad when we look for a video game system to work out, check a website for health situations or are too lazy to manually press buttons on a keypad so we need touch screen. I know I can't be the only person feeling this way....

actually, I LOVE technology..its interesting and i still wonder what its gonna be like in 2010 or 2020! It is scary though, I remember somebody saying technology is gonna take over 50% of jobs. And this so called chip they're gonna have inside of ppl. I've never heard of that apple app yet though. now THATS scary.Tiny cameras the size of a pin was enough...say goodbye to privacy.

LOL @ "A woman definitely had to be the inventor of something like this. No more "oh baby I'm chilling with the homies" She can pin point you to your ex shorties house or the local strip joint."

Technology is dope when it doesn't invade privacy. It's a fine line we're walking as a civilization.

I DON'T THINK I'M NECESSARILY afraid of TECHNOLOGY BUT maybe apprehensive. is that the WORD? idk.
well i would say that technology is amazing. i think that it can either make things more difficult or easier, NO REAL MEDIAN.
that PERSON navigation app sounds GREAT BUT OF COURSE, I'M SPEAKIN AS A woman. but hey, i'm bein' honest.
but i think it's cool to think about how far technology has come from the horse & buggy TO HIGH TECH VEHICLES THAT PARK THEMSELVES lls. i can't wait to see if we achieve that 5TH ELEMENT status.

I love technology. It was created to make our lives easier, but as you said, it's making us a bunch of lazy know-it-alls. But the more advanced it gets, the more invaded our privacy becomes and that's not cool at all. I'm also wondering if we would be able to cope if all of our laptops, PDAs, and cable TVs were taken away from us for just one day. A lot of people wouldn't last, because that's how deep it is.

Yes it is a scare. The fact that we are so dependant on technology to perdict our every move in society is the reason i am scared. Good post tho !!!!!!!!!

I am always the last to adopt a new technology.

I don't care.

I get it for cheap at that point...

i agree with the app you're talking about because i dont think its that serious to know my every where-about at every second of the day. but i disagree with you about being scared of technology. technology is basically driving this world right now, and in the future (or near) it will even be in your sleep. technology changes just like people needs change, so bring it on.

I dig technology, but the scope is officially scaring me. Being able to locate where all my friends are by GPS? I'm sorry but NO! Just... NO. What in the nosy, needy hell is that necessary for?
